ARRL Field Day – the annual event on the fourth full weekend of June where amateur radio operators all over the country spend 24 hours in simulated emergency conditions to see how many others they can contact. The event is open to the public, and visitors are welcome to come learn about ham radio and even get a chance to get on the air.
