Greetings! There’s sad news to report again.

Steve Vibbert KD2JSW became a “Silent Key” on Monday, December 15, 2025. He was 74 years old. He is survived by his wife Anita KD2KAG.

Steve was a member of the Decatur Amateur Radio Club for several years. He served as Vice-President from 2019 through 2021. He and Anita moved to North Alabama from Syracuse, NY, in 2015. They were both active in clubs in Limestone, Morgan, and Madison counties. They helped with Skywarn and operated the net during training and severe weather. They both were volunteer examiners, helping many applicants take and pass their license exams.

There are no announced services at present. There may be a memorial sometime in the Spring for those of us who knew him.

And all of us who knew him are going to miss his smile and friendliness.
