Greetings! The club’s 2-meter repeater on 147.00 has developed an issue and is not working at its best. The club has purchased a new antenna, which arrived today.

THEREFORE, be it known by these presents, that the club is calling all available arms, legs, and bodies to be at the repeater site at 0600 (that’s 6 AM to us civilian people) on Saturday, June 20, 2026, for the erection, connection, and commissioning of the new VHF antenna.

Does that sound formal and serious enough?

Please, if you are at all able, come to the repeater site on Saturday morning at some time (the earlier the better. And cooler!) to help put the antenna up on the tower, secure the coax hardline, and make sure that the RF that the transceiver emits will be properly broadcast and not reflected back into the building.

The address of the tower is 491 Telephone Tower Rd, Laceys Spring, AL 35754. A possible address to help find the best place to park is 462 – 472 Telephone Tower Road.
