Field Day 2019 Official Results: We’re #1 (sort of . . .)

ARRL Field Day 2019

The Field Day 2019 results have been posted on the ARRL website.  They are also printed in the December issue of QST magazine.

Our club’s standing in this year’s results fell in comparison to prior years.  We made a another great effort, and we had fun doing it! And more people came out and visited the site this year.

So here’s the breakdown of the results:

– Out of 3,112 entries overall, W4ATD was #870 (#676 last year).

– Out of 250 entries in the SE Division, W4ATD was #74 (#59 last year).

– Out of 51 entries in the AL Section, W4ATD was #11 (#10 last year).

– Out of 360 Class 2A entries overall, W4ATD was #152 (#113 last year).

– Out of 35 Class 2A entries in the SE Division, W4ATD was #9 (#8 last year).

– Out of 7 Class 2A entries in the AL Section, W4ATD was #1 (#3 last year).

Did you notice that last item? We got #1 in our state in class 2A! And we could have done even better if more of those who came had worked one of the radios for a few minutes. Unfortunately our score was lower everywhere else, but there were 200 more entries competing with us overall.

NOW . . . .

We’re going to be better next year, right? Field Day 2020 will be June 27th and 28th! Make plans to be there and help out!
