DARC July 2022 Meeting Reminder – Where Is Everybody?

July always begins with a celebration of our nation’s independence, with food, fun, and fireworks galore!

All of that good stuff can be very tiring, don’t you think?

So, to allow members a chance to recover from the holiday, the meeting plans for the Decatur Amateur Radio Club are changed again. The club’s monthly meeting for July, normally scheduled for Tuesday the 5th, has been canceled. Please don’t show up at the Morgan County Courthouse this month, unless you enjoy the company of the cleaning crew or sitting in a hot parking lot by yourself for a while.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, August 2nd, at the usual time and place.

Field Day has come and gone. It was, as expected, a blast, even with the hot weather. Many, many thanks to all who came out and visited or participated in some way. Scoring is being prepared for submission, and we’ll have a report at the August meeting.

We are still seeking input about possibly making a permanent change to our regular meeting time. Please e-mail the secretary or one of the other officers with your thoughts about a different time.

The continuing reminder about the online club roster:  Go to www.HamClubOnline.com. Set up your free account and if you have paid your dues (and the Secretary has updated the database) you should see that you’re associated with the DARC. If there’s an issue, let me know.

See you next month!
